Personnel Officers assist the unit commander by taking responsibility for processing all types of member actions. These include new member applications, promotions, awards, duty and committee assignments, transfers, retirements, and member terminations. They advise the commander on uniform issues. Finally, they assist in processing organizational actions.
While Personnel Officers often also serve as Administration Officers typically deal with tracking of suspense dates and maintenance of unit files/publications. For more information on Admin Officer responsibilities, see the Admin page.
The menu at left contains links to several sub-pages. These pages complement each other, with the Processing Forms giving guidance on completing and routing forms and the other pages giving information on other aspects of processing various actions. A quick reference page is provided as well.
